INCIDENT:
My 15-year-old son has a teacher who locks him out of his class when the late bell rings. With this incident, my son was on time but as he entered the classroom, the teacher slammed the door shut on his arm. He was sent to the principal’s office who then sent him to the nurse to treat a cut and swollen arm. No one notified me. I just learned about this today (4/23/10) when my son and his classmate—who witnessed the incident—told me. My son is scared of this teacher. How can they cover this up? Are there not laws broken here?
CFISD RESPONSE:
They never contacted me. Their solution was to give my son an icepack for his arm and send him on his way.
